My Music Diary Collage Print - Women's Tank Top
My Music Diary Tank Top tells the story of my love of music. From being in a few bands and playing in Toronto & New York, as well as being an avid fan of music. I enjoyed being a passionate concert goer and had the pleasure of being a dj hosting various autograph sessions and performances. This musical collage was created for an art show with the purpose of creating art made of repurposed materials. This piece contained guitar pics, snare drum and bass drum components, guitar strings, opera music sheets and collected music related images and memorabilia. This collage was accompanied with a musical diary. It described my experiences taking opera lessons, doing a Johnny Cash mashup recording for a radio show and seeing bands such as the Ramones and the Rolling Stones. Experiences I will never forget are hosting events for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Herbie Hancock. Whenever I see this collage it brings back memories of too many stories to tell of great musical moments. I enjoy the way the materials merged to create an interesting and colorful collective image.
